Nice pictures.  Boy, that $$$$ seems high.  How many hours did the job take?  Imagine one has to remove radiator and all to check valves.

$344 for parts, $150 X 5hrs labor, $74 shop supply plus 15% tax

I agree.

And great looking pics. BC/Alberta?

Ref the pics, the first one was taken in BC between Vernon and Lumby, second in my back yard, third southern Saskatchewan and fourth on the White Rim Road in Canyonlands National Park, Utah.

Just had my first major service done, a bit late at 25k but I do have oil changes every 10k or once a year. All my exhaust valves were out and needed new shims, cost $1300 Canadian dollars and included brake flush, filters, plugs etc...

Just took my F850GSA the have the head bearings re-torque, bike has 25k. Do you guys think that this will be a one time thing of a recurring problem?  :232:  If it is a recurring problem I would probably buy a BMW socket and do it myself in the future.

Just installed the reinforcement bars yesterday, very happy with them, they look well build and solid. I also installed the Wunderlich headlight protector and replaced the brake/clutch levers with some fancy red one. Broke the clutch level on my fall trip to Utah.

The dealership printed these few sheets for me when I was asking them about the valves train. Still no CD/manual available! :157:

I think this will impact the resale values of BMW motorcycles. To buy a new bike without a service manual is one thing but to buy a use motorcycle when you canít get a manual... well enough said about that! :157:
