When you accept a call with the tft the bike keeps the connection open for a few extra minutes. Give it some time and the radio should start again. I have the same problem with my cardo. The tft is great but it still has some issues.

I just tried.

If so, the phone connects to tft and helmet but no connection possible between tft and helmet.
Navigation is allowed but no media and phone in tft, but my radio works in helmet.

The tech told me it should work because it's a Sena and Bmw helmets use Sena components. He also said I could pair my headset with iPhone and not tft....

The TFT - Helmet connection is considered as a phone connection by the Sena.
Have you tried connecting the Sena directly to some other source, such as a direct connection to the phone?

For those that are considering DIY fitting of BMW OEM LED spotlights here is my experience.

The whole package arrived in 1 box, part No. BM-77. 51. 5. A2A. 478, includes 2 x LED spotlights, mounting bracket, mirror mount switch, wiring harness with connectors, hardware etc. There was no installation instruction sheet and the best I could find was a posting from SnoDrtRider on this forum. (Thank you very much).

Access to the existing 4 torx bolts which hold the bracket is "challenging" without removing any of the fairing or headlight mounting  panels but with perseverance and an array of 1/4 drive extension bars including a universal joint it can be done. (I did remove the half plastic fan disc under the steering damper.)

OK bracket now mounted and secure. After mounting the switch and routing that wiring next was finding the existing power take off connector block in the bikes wiring harness which is located under the front panel on the left, trying to detach the connector block (which is only a blank protector) so you can then detach the small block with the original wiring proved another head scratcher, however I discovered it is secured by a little plastic housing with a spring clip and by gently pulling it in a horizontal direction backwards, i.e. towards the back of the bike it releases then you can release the plug ready to go into the provided new connector and LED's wiring harness.

From there it is relatively easy to secure everything back, connect the switch wiring block, mount and plug in left and right LED lights, route and cable tie the wiring, being careful to make sure all is very secure, nothing fouls the movement of handlebars or steering damper.

When done the whole job and lights do look neat as if fitted from the factory. Bike is now booked into the local dealer for them to let the computer know the LED lights are present (I have to wait nearly a week for an appointment) and then, hopefully fingers crossed, all will be well.

I find that connecting this way loses me many of the Cardo voice commands and also Siri which I normally use to make calls.
I have music on the Nav 6 which I can control by the Nav screen with volume, skip track etc also working on voice commands.
I don't use the BMW Connected App as I prefer map view rather than turn by turn.

The GPS will handle phone calls in the same way as the TFT. However, the TFT allows you to handle the phone by using the Woderwheel rather than stretching forward to reach the screen for controlling the phone.
Also, the TFT connection allows playing media from the phone, as well as streaming of music or radio through the phone (But data cost and shortening battery duration for the phone will probably limit the enthusiasm .)

Display of speedlimit and traffic messaging may also be handled by the GPS.

I think the way TFT handles the phone is great, but it is annoying that for some reason, the TFT out of nowhere drops the stored connections, both to helmet and phone.

I do not know why that is, and it seems even more silly when you experience that pretty much anything else does not have this issue.
The bracket I built for $20 (US) does not vibrate... The only thing I would change is the fact that the lock mechanism hits the bar and does not allow the GPS to pivot any lower which depending on the sky conditions sometimes results in bad glare on the screen,,,

I have the cheap Chinese bracket that puts the Sat-nag over the TFT screen on my F850GS, and whilst I don't ride off road, I do ride on our shockingly under-maintained roads and do not suffer from vibration despite the best efforts of some to these roads to test the Dynamic suspension to its fullest extent!

For the cost of the bracket it may well be worth trying it.
