Hi mates, thanks for having me. I’m picking up my 22 f850gsa in a few days and can’t wait. Will have to wait for some of the factory fitted things that come with the bike to be install in a few weeks - rear pannier racks and heated grips. Apparently bmw had some supply issues with these but needed to get bikes out so the parts are following them. Looking forward to gaining much gs knowledge from all you amazing people😉👍

The same just happened to me. Bike in pieces and no sprocket.

I have the Touratech springs. They are progressive so when the bike is off the kick stand it is about an inch (30mm) lower than stock under it’s own weight. After that they are progressively firmer. The ESA still functions as it should. The forks don’t dive as much in braking and feel firmer. Overall it is an improvement. The downside is the kick stand is too long since the bike is lower. If you set the ESA to rider plus luggage it’s ok but then it kind of defeats the purpose. I normally ride with it set with luggage even though I just have a light weight soft bag because I think I corners better. It’s also harder to get it on the center stand. Even with those issues I’m still happy with the result.

Apologizes if this has been covered before, but I could not find a thread that answered my question. I’m looking to get a F750 GS. Being a shorter rider, I’d like to learn what my options would be to lower the bike AND keep the dynamic ESA. What I know so far:
-low seat
-factory lowering suspension (removes Dynamic ESA)
=about 30 inches high

30 inches seems perfect for me. Is the Dynamic ESA worth it? WHat would be some other options? I know Touratech has some lowering springs. Are these recommended or do they result in a lower performance Dynamic ESA?

I’m part ex’ing my 2018 F850GS and now have for sale (used):

Givi Panniers: Trekker Dolomiti 36ltr Aluminium (RHS box has some slight damage) £200
Givi Quick Release Pannier Rack £80
Givi Enduro Tank Bag £40

There are two keys plus a spare and an extra barrel to add to a top box (monokey)

The tape on the panniers is there to protect against the tent and stuff I had strapped across.

Prefer to sell the rack and panniers together.

Postage needs to be added but Pick up for free, of course, I’m in West Yorkshire, near Keighley/Halifax.

Both panniers have some blemishes in the lacquer finish and the RHS pannier has a bit of “crash” damage on the bottom corner. See photos.
