Automatic Stability Control (ASC) "How does the ASC work? BMW Motorrad ASC compares the speeds of the front and rear wheels. The differential is used to compute slip as a measure of the reserves of stability available at the rear wheel. The engine control intervenes and adapts the engine torque accordingly if slip exceeds a certain limit." 100
