Not sure about the cable binding (although i have experienced a plasticky sensation at times) but totally agree on the ephemeral biting point when starting from a full stop. Don't release enough, it revs up and the clutch slips. Release too fast, and it either lurches forward or stalls. I even dropped it a couple of times when stalling (once with a serious hamstring injury eh! so you know i have been paying a lot of attention since  :087:). There appears to be nothing in the middle.

And - for clarification - i am no newbie, been riding for 40 years, this is by far my least preferred clutch.

Do you know if the guys got rid of the issue by replacing the clutch? This would be quite a piece of great news for the day!!

Ok, we all know and have heard about, even experienced the qwerky clutch on our gs’s. The boys and girls over on the XR900 forum have experienced it more so than us, and alas the XR’s have been getting replacement clutches from the gs’s. Now here is my problem, have a 2022 f850gsa with only 1100km on it and I’m experiencing this horrible clutch issue. It feels at times - always when taking off from a stand still at intersections…hot…cold doesn’t matter…can happen once, twice…4 times during a ride or never…the clutch doesn’t want to release at biting point - which then catches up and lurches you forward like the plates are getting stuck…very much like a sticky clutch plates…it can be very dangerous. I have posted a other sites and most have agreed they have the same problem but have got used to it or try to ignore it…am I the only one here experiencing this? For another explanation, it like the clutch cable getting stuck but it not…it certainly the plates but that’s the feel you get when taking off every now and again???? The same issue effecting xr900 owners but replacing with the same clutch parts as my gs….but I experiencing it. My dealer said yes it’s a qwerk but I’m not sure as I would not think bmw would bring out a mc to act in this matter…thoughts???

I have a new 2022 F750GS that puts out a HIGH pitched sound that is annoying as heck in RPM ranges of 3 to 4 thousand. I hear the noise from behind me. Found a few comments about problem and the ties to the tires. High pitch sound from rubber??? It almost sounds as if it's harmonic. Removed Givi trunk to see if that could be it, nope! Varying RPM's with in the range doesn't seem to help. Definitely high pitched and ear plugs  doesn't do much, but my Apple ear pods seem to cancel out the noise. Help!

i use quick shifter so much and my experience that quick shifter work perfectly if your rpm over 3k

if you notice even if you ride bellow 3k rmp chain will be unhappy

and by the way you can use quick shifter on all gears but my recommendation use it from 3rd gear and up you will find it smooth

and that my experience with many bmw bikes

If you are changing gear normally [ and you have not been riding long] I suggest it is practice. You'll get a feel for when the bike is 'lugging' and you need to change down. Make sure you pull the clutch lever fully in before changing and let it out relatively slowly to smooth the drive take up.
Re the quick shifter.
I use mine pretty much all the time both up and down the gears. On up changes you may find letting the engine rev higher than you may think you need to smooth the up change and keep the throttle open. On down changes make sure the throttle is fully closed all the way to the stop.
And genuinely, the quickshifter gets better with time/miles/kilometres

I've put an sw motech stand on a low suspension brand new F750GS. Not too bad a job, I supported the bike on a stand under the engine as the sidestand  was loose with no problem. The T60 bolt is very very tight. 200nm apparently, it was tough  to move.

Biggest  bother was getting the left hand plate in position. It has 3 bolts, one of which (#2)  has a bit of play, but you can't get bolt #3 on until bolts #1 and #2 are on and you can't tighten #2 when #3 is on.  You mount that plate a few  times to get it right.

My stand is a heavy lift up and the rear wheel is 3-4" up on the air,but its solid and stable.

I've got the TT cartridge from BeemerShop.  Definate improvement over the pogo stick.  Still waiting for the shock to come in (I've got the factory lowered bike, should have bought the tall version and lowered it to keep the ESA but who knows...)  When that shows up I'll have a shock set up for my weight.  Ted did this for me on my old R1200GS and it was perfect.

Hello, I have just bought new F750 GS, have about 100km on it. I havent been riding motorcycles before, so I am wondering where are the sweet spots for changing gears, especially with quickshifter. Its still before the first service, dealer told me not to go higher than 5.5k RPM. I change upshift at about 3k RPM, and downshift at about 1.5k, but it seems clunky. Can you share your experience with shifting? Thanks
