    There’s an even more compelling argument not to get a lowered 850. I had one and the rear shock was awful. You could literally rock the bike up and down with one finger and the damping control did nothing. The other issue is that low seats ruin the riding position - your knees are cramped further (and the pegs are quite rear-set anyway) and you end up even more bolt upright as the handlebars are effectively raised.
    If the stock 850 with std seat is too tall, the low seat won’t really help much. Unless you must have the 850 or do a lot off off-roading, the 750 is a better bike

    I think my decision has been make in favor of the 750. I have the quote from my dealer and am working through the numbers.
