Garmin route planning
« on: November 20, 2019, 10:03:57 AM »
Does anyone know if Garmin intends to get rid of this broken BS route planning stuff they offer for PC/MAc and get something good for a change?

They charge a mortgage payment for a Nav 6 but they don't seem to care much about the user experience.

The motorrad connect (phone app) VIA the new GS screen offers some intriguing alternatives but I still prefer dedicated GPS.

The UI is terrible on Base Camp...
I have friends who use:
It allows you to use Google maps drag and drop and convert to GPX to load onto the Nav. It is a paid/subscription service but there is a free trial.
I don't know where we are... but I have been lost here before...

Plus one for the myrouteapp.

I paid the one off fee to avoid the pop up adverts.
You can save your routes and the load them to your Sat-Nav OR on to the BMW app and use the TFT screen as your route guide.
