The GSA screen mount in the pic is completely different to the 750GS or 850gs mounts - there are 4 bolts holding the mount in place bu theyíre recessed back about 3-4Ē so the GPS arm cannot be mounted. I bodged it by removing the plastic pins holding the cover, squeezing nyloc nuts behind the mount then bolting rh arm to the cover but Iím concerned that itís bolting metal onto plastic so I will set back to stock. Once I work out which screen works for me Iíll investigate an alternative mount. If anyone wants the BMW part, send me a PM!

Is it possible to grind out the top of the plastic to allow the mount to be used?

I see the U shaped cut outs on the GSA mount an assume that is where the GPS mount wants to go. Is it possible to make cutouts on the Standard GS plastic windshield mount?

I guess itís possible but given the depth and shape of the mount Iíd rather not attempt to hack into it. Iíve sold the BMW amount, once I find the right screen Iíll see if the Hornig or cheap eBay parts are compatible.

So mounted BMW part today on the bike GSA above the TFT ... actually pretty easy for someone with two left hands  :155:
Questions  -
Length of Sat Nav cable (I've uncoupled it from the others, what have people done with theirs?)
How do you get the original mounting of and return to just the stock handlebar set-up?
Thanks in advance

I don't understand the question??
If you are asking about the OEM cable for the Nav it connects under the TFT to a white plug and is banded/cable tied along the way to the steering stem. You will need to cut the cable ties in order to re-route the cable to your mount.
As far as returning to stock set up just re-mount the OEM Nav bracket and re-rote the wire...
I think that is what you are asking?

If you look under the TFT display right about where the clock is and put a light on under the tft you will see the white plug. You may have to bend down and look across the bars but it is there.

You can see the plug in this photo from a few pages back...

ok thanks very much - any ideas about removing the original bracket, is it just a case of removing it and using the same bolts?

I removed the stock GPS mount yesterday. Quite easy.

you need 4 M8 Stainless screws and washer to replace the original. (can't remember precisely the length, something like 40 mm )
I found mine on hornig :

https://www.motorcycleparts-hornig.com/BMW-F-750-GS-F-850-GS/Navigation-and-Communication/GPS-Mount-44016.html

On the bottom of the page you will find  "4 pieces stainless steel Allen screw M8 for replacing the special screws"
caution this kit does't include the washers.

First unscrew the 4 torx to remove the support from the bolts. Then unscrew and replace (using 13mm wrench) the screws. I had no torque specification so I've done it by feeling. Be careful not to overthight as inox srews vs aluminium thread can lead to failureÖ

I simply went to the hardware store and bought (4) M4 X 5mm Button Bead Allen bolts in SS and replaced only the bolts that attach the Nav mount to the handlebar bridge bolts...
