Heated grips
« on: May 31, 2019, 11:11:21 AM »

Iím not finding the heated grips very good especially on settings 1&2 with 3 just about warm.

Iím wearing light summer gloves too.

My old Oxford grips were far hotter .

Does anyone have an issue too ?

I'm assuming you've got the factory heated grips opposed to aftermarket ones? I've got that factory grips on mine and I find setting 2 to be warm enough for 80% of what I need, whilst setting 3 gets too hot at times and ends up being turned off after 5 mins

Yes Gaza the factoryís fitted ones.

The mechanic checked them out when I had the 600 mile service 2 days ago and said they were operating ok although he did say the 1200/2250 GS models are much warmer than the 850.

While in the store I purchased a pair of BMW Pro winter gloves with Goretex and they are an excellent fit.

Definately agree the 850's nowhere near as hot as the 1200's. The 1200 high setting was just far too hot. I guess it depends on gloves worn, and temp off the day in question, and your own 'comfort' level. I find the 850 's fine.
I've got oxfords on the tenere. Best heated grips on the market bar none. As usual, imo of course !

I am new to a bike with heated grips... when I turned mine on just to test, that sucker got hot quick!  :169:  If the 1200 run hotter, I can't imagine what that would feel like  :033:
Ride safe!
