    Canbus/ZFE Accessories

    Hi

With my previous bike (YamahaFZS'06) I used to have some extra circuit tapped to any other circuit like the lighting via a standard relay+fuse.
Now With my f850gs '19 I see that it comes with the canbus/fze and no relays/fuses... Read a bit of this on this forum and ended up realizing that it may not be a good idea to tap it to the original circuit but to better go to the battery? (to avoid the FZE to detect higher usage of certain circuit and then to disconnect?

Am still a bit confused as first, my level of electronics is pretty basic but enough to be able to tap into a simple circuit and connect any accessory etc.. (not heavy consumption), and second, this new system scares if I am ready to achieve the same...

Is there any "easy" way to avoid connecting to the battery directly so I can at least use the key power but the ZFE not to "detect" me?

    Thanks!!

And sorry if my question is too basic or not well formulated :)

ezCan is good but expensive. A simple $2.00 relay will do the same job you want if you just want on/off functionability.

Yep, plus an extra switch on the handlebar and what not.

Sometimes convenience and simplicity is worth the extra $.

    $2.00 against $500.00?
A newb with 1 post and an Ezcan employee reply? This is a forum for 850/750GS issues, not an Ezcan advertising billboard.

    Byle,
The below will allow you to add not just one but 2 light switches to your bike without the need for software or computer programming. Its even sweeter at 1:20th the cost of alternatives.
It will not give you fancy extras like flash with your indicators etc but if all your after is to turn driving or fog lights on /off or even both on or off this is a much cheaper option.
It comes with dedicated switches you can mount on either side of your handlebars so there is no need to repurpose your existing switches. The ability to switch driving lights on should not cost more than the lights themselves.
Your local Ezcan distributer (Zodiac) is advertising Ezcan for 240 euro , The below alternative will cost you 14 euro. for only 14 euro its worth trying it first.

For what itís worth, I used a hex ezcan this time. All other bikes cars etc Iíve wired relays and fuses. 2 years ago I just didnít have time for that so I splashed out.
If I couldíve got that cheap aliexpress thing quickly then I mightíve gone for it,  but I also wanted to power accessories.
I has two sets of spotlights, the front accessories and chargers etc and one for the top box 4 in all, and independently fused.
I can also have settings that turn on lights during the day at a lower power.

    I liked it.

    Cool.

Ironically I did buy the cheap aliexpress thing @AussieJeff is on about and it was DOA so I went for EZCan. No extra buttons and the customization options are amazing.
