    Fitting tougher wheels…

Has anybody fitted tougher wheels to their 850 - and if so, what?

I’m planning a major overland trip and worry that the OEM spoked rims aren’t up to the job.  When I rode London-Beijing nearly all the GSs on the trip had loose/bent spoke and/or dented rim issues.  My Rally Raid CB500X took it all in its stride and the BARTubeless wheels looked as good at the end as at the start.

I’m considering making a similar change to the 850 and looking for feedback on what others might have done…

Don't have 2800 USD to throw at something like that, so far mine work. Are the stock ones badass enough to withstand serious touring through mixed terrain? I doubt it.

This guy is somebody i've heard repeatedly mentioned in relation to replacement wheels for F800/F850, with high marks for quality.

Never heard of this one but it's the only other option that comes up.
