Hello from the Toronto area, Canada

I just recently purchased the last 2021 F850GS Bumble Bee I could find in my area. I have had my eye on a smaller GS for years and finally decided to bit the bullet. I have only ridden it once so far for about 100kms because, you know, it's December...in Canada. A little too much snow and salt out there at the moment for my liking with a new bike, especially the salt on the road. Anyway, loved that ride and so did my wife when we switched bikes for a bit. There may be another GS in the family in the future, I'm thinking!  :008:

I have been riding for about 40 yrs and was a riding instructor for about 20 of those. My wife also taught for about 10 yrs and we actually met while teaching, so I guess motorcycles are sort of our thing! We have 7 bikes between us of various makes and models, so what's one more, right?! Thinkin' it might be time to thin the herd a little... :745:

I may have gone a little crazy ordering accessories like bags and bars and a new seat and such, but then again, people think we are crazy for getting yet another bike, so what the heck! I am really looking forward to next years riding season on my new ride and rediscovering some of my off-road roots before I am too old to even consider venturing there. Here's hoping next year is a great riding year!

Love what I see of this forum so far and hoping to share and enjoy many adventures here.

    Cheers everyone!  :001:

Welcome to the forum! I just returned from a trip there!
As for the fear of falling...learn to love and cherish the experience. You want it. You need it. You can't wait for the next hit.

Congrats and welcome from another Canadian.

No such thing as too many bikes. Also nothing wrong with accessorizing. I had a bunch of accessories for my GSA on order even before the bike arrived.

    Thanks, MCMXCIVRS!

LOL, I feel the same about having multiple bikes, until it comes time to store and insure them! Currently have them spread out between our garage, shed out back, shed up at our trailer and one each at my step-sons places!

Finally finished putting everything on the bike I ordered so far, but now a few other things have caught my eye! I think bikes are just down payments on accessories!  :745: I will have to post a couple of pics of everything once the snow clears and I can pull the bike out again. I am sure you are waiting for the same thing out your way.

    Thanks for commenting.

    Cheers!
