    Message SERVT!
    on: Nov 28, 2021, 01.11 am
    Nov 28, 2021, 01.11 am
Got the 2020 750 GS during Aug 2020.  Did the first service through the dealership in Nov 2020 after about  600 miles.
As per the manual the next service will be at 6000 miles.
Now I have about 3500 miles on the bike. I just started seeing this message on the motorcycle - SERVT!
    Not sure what that means.
    Any help/guidance is appreciated.

Either the dealer did not reset the service reminder properly or something else is wrong.
I don't know where we are... but I have been lost here before...

It’s a year later… service reminder has been set by mileage and or date, whichever happens first.

    Quote from the owners handbook.
'The BMW service is carried out every 12 months, The scope of the service depends on the age of the vehicle and the mileage ridden'

Also, brake fluid is a scheduled 12 monthly drain and replace, irrespective of any mileage covered, as it deteriorates with time.

The flippant answer is 'ride it more' but I know what you mean.
My previous Kawasaki had a 4000 mile service interval so that was a minimum of two services per year for me.

I know it's difficult to compare different sales markets, but $371 equals £277 at curent exchage rate. My 6000 mile service in England cost me £212, so about 25% less than your quote.

The other answer is to do it yourself. You can get a tool such as the GS-911 or Motoscan to reset the reminder. The majority of the things they are doing in that service are pretty simple tasks.

    Total Due: $371.02

Basically you're paying that for an oil change and brake flush. Rest of it is just looking it over.

The first annual service includes the brake fluid flush, then every two years afterward. Different countries have different charges but the service charge of $371 seems awfully high - my first annual service including parts and taxes was only around £150 in the UK, which translates to around $200.

My costs are broken down differently to Rahul's, his labour charge seems a lot higher, but his tax seems less than our VAT at 20%
