SOS Emergency Button - question
« on: September 17, 2021, 03:22:58 PM »
Does anyone know if this service requires an annual subscription fee to BMW once the bike warranty expires ? I have it on my recently acquired 850 GS. I tested it here in Ireland and it does work. It is great to have it as I ride on my own on lonely mountain roads a lot.

I dont know but Id be surprised if it lasts indefinitely. Id even be fairly surprised if it lasts as long as the warranty. The Tracker subscription on new BMWs only lasts for the first year

No subscription required for SOS. Tracker free for first year then 99 annual subscription thereafter.

Thanks !

It's a great feature to have on any bike. I am quite surprised BMW provide the annual SOS emergency call feature free, once you have the hardware fitted to your BMW bike.
