This is the m8A fitted to the rear of my GS using the fitting kit SRA5134.
Having mounted a similar plate directly to my Zero FX, I doubt the fitting kit is needed on the GS.

The second photo is a used m8A from a 1000xr that I have mounted direct to the rack of my FX.

Wow, now Iím even more confused than ever, having looked online at just about every shop with stock of the 5134.
From all the picture, I think that the 5134 comes with a special plate so that there is an extra loop bracket for the back part.

However, the 5134 is like hens teeth, but the M8 is readily available. I just tried to order a 5134 plus the givi trekker 42, from some Unknown Netherlands company (Femon parts) which doesnít tell me freight costs yet, so weíll see. It was very difficult to find a shop with both. And freight is often the killer.

If that shop fails Iíll try somewhere else that has the M8 and trekker 42. And give up on the 5134.

Thanks for those pictures.

If I was to be fitting now, with the experience I now have, and I had a metal rack, I would just buy a M8 mounting plate and figure my own bolting down system.
I used oversize stainless repair washers when fitting it to my FX. Doubtless something similar would be achievable on the 850GS.

Wow, all the way from the Netherlands? Perhaps from Poland would be cheaper? Give me a shout if you'd like to go through Eastern Europe ;)

Did the M8A come with any bolts, clamps washers, spacers etc etc?
I agree, the M8 look good.
The M9 are a bit less nice looking, IMO, but structurally superior with the 3D dents providing rigidity, but I can't tell what the front edge looks like or how it fits.

The existing one in the pictures is the monolock I got with my Givi Bold case.
I'd prefer metal this time.
