Tire cleaner

Tire dressing is not a good idea for your tires. Very slippery if it gets on your tread.
Is there a tire cleaner that is not?

As far as a cleaner goes the normal soap you use on the rest of the bike should be sufficient with a little elbow grease. If the tires are really dirty Simple Green works for me. If you want your tires to have a sheen you bought the wrong bike and should consider a Harley instead.
I don't know where we are... but I have been lost here before...

+1 on the simple green.  That and a good tire brush does a great job.  I use the simple green diluted in a hand held sprayer for general cleaning of my bikes as well.  Has worked great so far.

Thanks again, all. I found Simple Green okay. Being a member of BTM (Black Tires Matter) I figured there was something better.
My tires had that brown stuff on them.
I wanted to do before and after but the camera in my phone is ca putt. You'll just have to take my word for it. This stuff is the tits.
Not affiliated in any way.
